JAMB Announces Statistics of Courses Applied in 2022 Exam

Report sourced by PUNCH News from JAMB has indicated the total number of applicants in each course category in the just concluded Exams.

From the report, Medicine having the highest number of applicants with 367,499 candidates applying for Medical Departments while there are only 43,717 slots available in the country, this is just above 11% of the total applicants.

Law has 81,653 applicants for the 8,529 slots available nationwide.

Social Sciences also having a large number of applicants with 231.907 candidates applying for 93,277 slots available.

Science having 204,734 applicants for 132,796  slots available.

Technology Related courses having 103,891 for the 60,199 slots available;

Arts and Humanities 72,014 applicants for 48,744 slots.

From the Report Agriculture and Education have the list number of applicants with 21,568 candidates applying for 31,217 slots in Agriculture and 53,612 candidates applying for 111,601 slots available in Education departments. These two have more available spaces than the number of students applying for them.

According to JAMB about 1.8 million candidates sat for the 2022 UTME Exams.
